Hello there Patrick,

Can you please help me out with something?

I have written a Wikipedia article about Chalkhill Estate being a former resident and have used the photograph from this article as no others are readily available. I have completed a fair use policy statement in which I stated that I have no commercial interest in the photograph and that the photograph was of important historical interest and relevant. Also due to its age, I considered that there would be no financial compromise to the owners of this photograph. I've since learned that this photograph is credited to a John McCann and is listed on this website - http://www.20thcenturylondon.org.uk/brnt-59. I am obliged to give credit to the correct source which I first cited as this website. can you please clarify ownership as this is believe it or not, causing some issues with Wikipedia.

My article can be found here - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chalkhill_Estate

Thanks in anticipation.

That is so funny!

I came across this website after watching the latest Countryfile (BBC) episode where they were featuring the early wildlife film makers. Although I've had Richard's 'Food For Free' book for years (almost like the bible in our house), I had no idea he was so good-looking in his youth. I'm afraid I was googling images to see if I could find a nice one of him in his youth! Enjoyed your quote though,

Although I can't claim knowledge of the Floral Pageant that's mentioned in the original comment, I am aware of a forthcoming Metroland-related event in North Harrow which may be of interest to you.

I admit that I found your web pages while I was researching background for my own small display of Met. models and memorabilia for this event.

Event details at:

Hi Jason I'm afraid I just unsystematically reported every reference to a piece of ancient woodland as being a fragment from the old Forest of Middlesex. I think your best bet might be the Victoria County History of Middlesex which is available on the internet.
